Ford and AA help drivers improve fuel economy

Ford and the AA have teamed up to offer motorists the chance to learn how they can drive more economically.
A special Econo Driver Training course has been made available to Ford owners who have participated in the Ford Econo Check programme.
This includes a 35-point vehicle inspection, carried out by a Ford dealer, as well as the installation of a data logger which monitors driving style and fuel economy for seven days.
A personalised report is then produced, highlighting the areas where the car owner could improve their driving style.
Qualified AA DriveTech instructors will deliver training that targets the specific issues highlighted on each customers report.
Paul Holmes, fleet director for AA DriveTech, said: “With the AA predicting that fuel prices will reach record levels by January, there has never been a better time to hone your driving skills and reap the rewards.”
Last month, a study commissioned Carmony.co.uk found that 22 per cent of Brits regretted buying their car soon after purchasing it because of how expensive it turned out to be to run.
