Luxury car brand Lexus has launched its latest offering – the CT 200h – which is powered by the newest development of Lexus Hybrid Drive.
This comprises of a 1.8-litre VVT-i petrol engine, an electric motor and an electrically-controlled continuously variable transmission (E-CVT).
Those sitting behind the wheel of the vehicle can choose between two distinct driving moods – 'dynamic' and 'relaxing'.
Different driving modes can also be selected, including eco, normal and electric vehicle – the latter of which is perfect for making smooth, silent progress in slow, urban traffic.
"Switch to eco mode and the car's systems are automatically adjusted to deliver maximum efficiency," a statement from the company claims.
Last month, Mitsubishi Motors revised the pricing of its electric vehicle the i-MiEV, with the car now being available for £28,990.
Customers will only have to pay £23,990 if they take advantage of the UK government's £5,000 incentive scheme.
