Ghostbusters tribute car to be auctioned in UK

Posted by Richard Sinclair

A 1959 Cadillac S&S ambulance has been restored to look like the iconic Ghostbusters car and is set to go on sale in the UK this month.

The vehicle was rescued from a church in Maryland, USA and, having undergone a dramatic transformation, is now ready to be auctioned at Historics at Brooklands' forthcoming sale on September 25th.

Chris Reynolds rescued the car and has spent £65,000 turning it into a tribute to the vehicle seen in the Ghostbusters films.

"The car was about to be scrapped when I discovered it and the restoration has been a real labour of love, and hopefully it will find a worthy home," Mr Reynolds said.

While the outside of the car may look like that seen in the Ghostbusters films, the interior is much more luxurious, boasting three leather-clad bench seats.

A recreation of a Ferrari 250 GTO will also be on sale at the same auction, at a fraction of the cost of the real racing car. ADNFCR-2370-ID-800050119-ADNFCR

i hope it doesn’t go for too much, there a ton of inaccuracies on it and it’s not even the right model Cadillac to boot.

This car did not actually sell on the day, so anyone interested should contact Historics at Brooklands – http://www.historics.co.uk
