Parents should take a few driving lessons

Parents should have a couple of driving lessons with a professional instructor before teaching their own children to drive, What Car? has suggested..
The car buyer's guide claimed that this would allow these adults to refresh their memory of the Highway Code and would bring them up to date with the skills required by the new test.
Paul Atkinson, What Car? Driving School's managing director, said that over 45 per cent of UK drivers would most likely fail if they sat the current driving test.
"It is all too clear that these drivers need a refresher driving lesson or two to ensure they do not pass on their bad habits to their teenagers," he added.
What Car? claimed that the bad driving habits that parents tend to have include approaching junctions too quickly, rushing observations and driving too quickly.
It said that they are also guilty of driving too close to the vehicle in front and not using their mirrors enough.
Last month, research conducted by Sky News revealed that there is no firm evidence showing that the Pass Plus driving course actually improves a motorist's safety on the roads.
Do you think you would pass the current driving test if you took it now?
