Posted by Richard Sinclair

More details have been revealed about the new Peugeot 508 range, which is set to be launched in the spring of 2011.

It will include Peugeot's new start/stop technology, called e-HDI, and will also come in two body styles – a saloon and SW estate.

The saloon will have a length of 4.79 metres, whereas the SW will be 4.81 metres long.

"Guided by the search for perfectly balanced and streamlined contours, the style of 508 has a solidity that reflects the aspirations of elegance, robustness and high quality," a statement from the car company reads.

When it comes to car lights, the saloon boasts three red claws that mask three rows of LED car bulbs, whereas the SW has a red band that illuminates when the rear lights are activated.

Earlier this week, Peugeot announced that its year to date sales had increased by 16.8 per cent in a market that was up only 13.2 per cent.ADNFCR-2370-ID-800059200-ADNFCR
