Revealed: Top ten car parts most likely to wear out

Suspension arms are the car parts that are most likely to fail due to wear, a study by Warranty Direct has revealed.
The firm's research shows that around a third of repairs to vehicles aged between three and seven years old are due to a failure caused by wear and tear.
Failed suspension arms account for 5.86 per cent of all repairs and cost an average of £230.60 to mend.
The second highest on the list, accounting for 3.89 per cent of repairs and costing an average of £223.80 to fix, are ball joints.
Duncan McClure Fisher of Warranty Direct said: "The statistics highlight the importance of checking the small print on longer-term new car warranties and after-market policies."
He went on to say that warranties with wear-and-tear exclusions often mean that the consumer is "left to foot the bill for worn out parts".
Motorists in the UK were recently urged by the Institute of Advanced Motorists to check their windscreen wipers for wear, as old wipers can prove a hindrance in the poor weather of the winter months.
