Rospa publishes winter driving tips

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (Rospa) has published a factsheet that gives motorists advice on how to drive safely in the winter weather.
It advises people that, if conditions are poor, they should watch and listen to weather and traffic reports.
They should also consider postponing their journey if it is not absolutely necessary, Rospa adds.
Kevin Clinton, head of road safety at Rospa, said: "Safer winter driving is about good preparation – making sure you're in a fit state to drive, that your vehicle is in good condition and that you've planned your journey."
He went on to say that it is not just the weather that can affect a driver's safety and that tiredness can have a negative effect too.
Earlier in the year, Roadsafe stated that driver sleepiness is thought to be the cause of around 300 road deaths each year in the UK.
