Seat extends VAT-free offer

Seat has announced that it is extending its VAT-free offer in the UK well into 2011.
The Spanish car maker said that it is happy to take the pressure off its customers in the face of the government's increase in VAT to 20 per cent.
This offer extends across much of the Seat line-up, but it is now also complemented by a new half-VAT deal, which amounts to a ten per cent discount off a further number of Seats.
Seat UK head of operations Richard Harrison said: "The exceptional success of our VAT offer towards the end of 2010 meant we were understandably keen to continue the momentum into 2011."
He went on to say that the firm's dealers up and down the country have been extremely busy and suggested that he hopes this will continue well into the new year.
Earlier this week, Subaru UK announced that it would not be passing the new VAT increase on to most of its customers.
