Car registration consultation launched by European Commission

Car registration is set to be focused on as part of a newly launched European Commission consultation, it has been revealed.

The process will encourage drivers to disclose some of the problems they have had after registering a vehicle in one EU member state and then trying to move it to another nation within the union.

Commissioner for industry and entrepreneurship Antonio Tajani commented that it should not have to be difficult for people to transfer a car from one nation to another following a vehicle purchase.

He stated: "This public consultation will provide us with a better understanding of the problems encountered by citizens and companies, and with ideas on how to improve the situation."

When it comes to car safety in the UK meanwhile, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents recently noted that its Managing Occupational Road Risk campaign has now been running for 15 years.ADNFCR-2370-ID-800443333-ADNFCR
