Motorists should always strive to improve their driving

Motorists should make an effort to improve their driving skills, even once they have passed their driving test, the Institute of Advanced Motorists has claimed.
Peter Rodger, chief driving examiner at the UK-based road safety charity, said that one of the things that these new drivers can do is to complete "some form of professional development" course.
He went on to say that people should not "assume that once they have passed the driving test that is all they need to do for the rest of their lives".
Mr Rodger suggested that it is not just down to individuals to reduce accidents and casualties on the UK's roads but the government too.
He said that ministers should encourage safer road use and urge employers of those who drive for work to promote better driving.
Back in January, the Institute of Advanced Motorists launched a two-part assessment, called Momentum, for younger drivers.
