You got marked down for clicking when there was NOT a hazard - and yet driving on any street there are constant hazards, it's just that some are more unlikely than others. The scaffolding on the left could fall over, a meteorite may fall on the road, or the driver of the car coming the other day might decide he's bored of driving on the left. The difference they make is like have summer tyres in summer, I'm Driving normally on ice and snow and everyone else is wheel spinning and sliding around. I have never told my insurance company, why should I? They will only try and claim its a modification so they can extort more money from me, the fact is it is aiding safety. I’ve driven along unlit stretches of motorway, like the M3/A3 and there are no Cat’s eyes in the road for you to follow, that makes it difficult in itself.
Also, road markings are worn away. Is there no such thing as reflective road markings (and I don’t mean ordinary road marking paint), like they use on the road signs?
Why can’t the motorway lights be dimmed to 50% at night? At least that way, you satisfy both sides of the argument.
Why didn’t I become a road engineer and sort out, our road network!?!
