Website Issues

I tried to use the bulb / wiper lookup guide but nothing happens when I click search.

The bulb finder requires javascript, so ensure this is turned on. If it is still not working, return to the home page and try again. If you cannot get the bulb finder or wiper finder to work, you can look up your vehicle from this page, which will allow you to drill down to select your vehicle. If you are still having problems please call us, email or use our live chat facility.

My car, bike or truck is not listed in the bulb or wiper finders, or the bulb I need says 'N/A'

We have worked hard to get the bulb and wiper blade information on as many vehicles as possible, but there are hundred of new models added every year. If yours is not listed, please let us know, and we will work to locate the data for that model. Note that our data is mainly for unmodified, UK vehicles. If your vehicle has modified lights or is an import, we would suggest you check the handbook or an existing bulb/wiper to verify the fitting type.

I can’t sign in to my account.

There are two ways to sign into your account on the website, via the Login on the top menu, or through the checkout. New customers must use their email address, but customers registered before November 2009 could use either their email address or a username.

Although the Login section is asking for your email address, if you set up your account before 25th November 2009, please user your username in this box.

If you cannot remember your username, then use the forgot password link on the login page. This will retrieve your username and password and email it to the email address it is associated with. If you cannot remember your username or the email you used, please register as a new customer.

The bulb / wiper guides have nothing in them. Also, the search doesn’t search as you type.

These modules run on JavaScript and require you to have them enabled in your web browser.



Some of the images haven’t loaded properly.

Occasionally images don’t make it from our website to your PC intact. If you notice a big white area on the website that you think should have an image, press Ctrl and F5 together to do a hard refresh. This will attempt to clear your web browsers cache and request the images from our website again.

The website is slow

Autobulbsdirect.co.uk uses modern technologies such as jQuery and LyteBox to give the best opportunity to present information and images to our users. Unfortunately these are pretty big and may affect the initial download on your first visit to the website. Some detailed images on the product page can also be large. We try to keep a balance of low file size yet detailed enough to show off the product. We have optimised the website greatly over the past year but are always adding new content which may not be optimised straight away.

I've found something wrong/something else is broken!

Our site is continually being changed, with products being added, replaced and updated, and with special offers and new information pages being written. If you see anything you think is wrong, find a broken link, incorrect image or other issues, please contact us! We'd love to know about it so it can be fixed as soon as possible.
