Great bulbs no warning lights on dash (vw touran) so very happy amd make reversing at night so much better as nice and bright 10/10 more than happy

Having just purchased a set of ABD's 7440 Twenty20 Impact Cree LED Canbus Bulb 582 12V W21W for my Honda Jazz, I thought I would treat my wife's Honda Civic and update those lacklustre reversing bulbs.

The bulbs mentioned above have a design similar to a projector headlamp, throwing the light out of the end of the bulb and bathing the area behind the car with light.

Sadly, the design of the 955/921 Twenty20 Impact Canbus LED 12V W16W Bulb differs, featuring LED clusters around the barrel that direct light sideways onto the reflector, then out through the plastic lens. When reversing upto the garage door, this causes faint shadow areas. I know my wife won't notice, so not a biggie. I just wish there had been a second photo of the bulb so I could see that there is no lens at the top of the bulb. I have written to ABD asking if they can provide photos from different angles so future customers can see this before purchasing.

Don't get me wrong, these are still incredibbly bright, and out perform the old style bulbs in the Civic, it was just i was expecting light to shine out from the end as per the 7440's.

Advantages: Nice and bright, huge improvement and no Canbus errors on a Honda Civic.

Disadvantages: Due to the bulb design, the reflector casts faint shadows but is only noticeable when reversing up close to a garage door.

I imagine this has more to do with the car's reflector, not the bulbs, but just having installed a set of 7440's into my Jazz was expecting a similar light output experience.

Our Reply: Thank you for your excellent feedback. We are always looking to review bulb design and will look at options around forward facing LEDs as well. However, we have found the brightest results for most vehicles are where the LEDs around the barrel of the bulb that best utilise the reflectors. We will continue to test new designs and if we find better performing ones, we will launch them in due course.

Bought this to upgrade my reversing light in a 2018 Seat Ibiza. Works perfectly with no errors.

Good bulbs at a good price nice and bright very happy with these bulbs and no errors on my Audi

They didn’t work with my F11 bmw and kept throwing up a fault code and I wasn’t going to cut the loom up to fit resistors.

Advertised as working and being CAN compatible for my car I expected these to be plug and play - a little disappointing

Our Reply: Please note, we do not advertise any LED upgrade as guaranteed to work on any particular vehicle. We give canbus scores to indicate the likelihood of it working. This particular product has a score of 9/10 which will work on most vehicles but there may be some particularly fussy vehicles that still throw up an error. Unfortunately it appears your BMW F11 is one of the fussy vehicles.

In situations like this we can discuss alternatives or of course can take the product back for a full refund.

Finally a bulb that works on Audi A1 2011..used for reversing lamps... Nice and bright.. Easy fitment... Best of all no Canbus error, unlike two other brands I tried which claimed to be error free... Top quality, excellent price, fast delivery... 5 stars... Thank you ABD!

Excellent LED light.
Have used these on Audi A4 and Fiat 500 cars to upgrade the reverse lights which are next to useless with standard bulbs. The light output is now white and very bright. No canbus issues.

Reversing lights that actually light up where you are reversing. There is no polarity marked on them, so if it doesn’t light up, put it in the other way round. No errors on the dash (VW Transporter T6.1 2023)

Fitted to a W221 2010 Mercedes S Class and they look superb! I didn’t realise that the car actually has two reverse bulbs each side so I had to order a second pair, which was dispatched quickly. They are a lovely colour and very bright.

Advantages: Great quality with no bulb warning when fitted, they illuminate in all angles.

Disadvantages: The bulb is fairly large so check they fit where you want to install them. They worked absolutely fine in my car, with a little bit of wiggling.

These LEDs made a huge improvement on the silly little reversing lights on VW Golf mk7 (2015) and no canbus errors. First one worked straight away, second one didn't. Turned it round - still didn't work, then realised the holder can fit either way, so I'd turned the bulb round but then put the holder back in the other way round - so no change ! Took the holder out again, rotated 180 degrees, re-inserted --SUCCESS !! Brilliant.

Advantages: Very much brighter than original bulbs, reverse lights might actually be useful now (they certainly weren't much use before). They fit without difficulty in the Golf bulb holders. No canbus errors.

Disadvantages: None up to now except they cost more than the candle power ones.

Brought.these to replace the dim Mazda cx5 reverse bulbs because at night the reverse csmera image is bad. Much better image at night now, just need some rain to test in very worse confitions, but expect they new bulbs will be great. No prob with canbus as lights in cx5 (2017) not monitored.

My Toyota Auris has a single, weak 16w bulb for reversing. The reversing camera makes automatic adjustments for light levels and the view on the monitor is sort - of OK. But using your own eyes out of the back window - absolutely useless. You'd hardly know the reversing light was on at all. This bulb was a simple swap - took two minutes. The new light's output is (maybe) 500% brighter. Brilliant. The view out of the back window is well illuminated and I feel safer and more confident when reversing at night. I just can't understand why Toyota think 1 x 16w is bright enough - and this LED unit isn't fitted as standard.
Also don't know why this bulb doesn't show up on ABD's options for my car, either!

Advantages: Easy to fit. Much, much brighter than the original. No Canbus errors.

The bulb worked itself loose and fell out of the holder over the course of a week as it is only a push fit and feels like it wants to spring out when you fit it . This was fixed with a bit of insulation tap wrapped around the bulb and holder . Not a big problem . Woks fine. Very bright and no can-bus error on a seat Leon 2018

Our Reply: Sometimes the metal contacts in the holder can loosen over time. Using a flathead screwdriver you can often just adjust them to create a better fit. Or insulation tape as you did works too :-)

Not cheap, but the reviews were such that I felt that they would work without error.

Advantages: Very bright and no CAN bus error now showing on a Skoda Superb dash. Car test each bulb when starting up but flicking them on and off three or four times.

Disadvantages: Originally threw up an error, but turning one bulb by 180 degrees (as suggested by someone else in this thread), sorted that out. Bulbs are longer than standard ones and the bulb unit will not clip back in. However, the design of the Skoda boot lining means the bulb unit is still held in place once the panels have been put back.

Fitted these bulbs to a 2015 insignia as standard reversing lights are almost non existent .Wow is all I can say these led bulbs really light up behind the car easy to fit no canbus faults complete doddle to fit and makes reversing safer and certainly visible, thank you for a great product.

Fitted to Fiesta, much better than the standard bulbs. less chance of reversing into anything on a wet winter night.

Advantages: Bit of a pain to get the rear light clusters out, but worth the effort.

Initially got a canbus error, turned them around and worked with no error.

Great little and well made bulb from Twenty20. Fits well in Ford with no can bus errors and works well as replacement reversing bulb with bright white light.

Well, the delivery was speedy and the items arrived in fine condition. I already had LED bulbs in my reversing lights but they threw an error message on the dash and there was no room to install a capacitor to remove this. They were also not terribly efficient!! Installation was simple as the whole light unit comes out on an Audi TT, so it was just pull one bulb out and pop the new one in! No need to rotate the bulb this time, they lit up immediately and bingo!!! there is no error so the "Canbus" problem has gone! On test they are massively brighter and the small reflector in the unit nearly blinded me when I looked at it from the rear!

Advantages: No Canbus error; huge increase in reverse visibility, so they do exactly what they're supposed to do./ Well worth the money!

Bought these for my 2011 PFL Mercedes C Class S204. Im using as reverse bulbs as the ones from the factory are very dim. These turn night in to day, extreamly pleased with them and no errors popping up!

Bought these to replace the reversing light bulbs on a BMW X3 F25.

Advantages: They are a lot brighter with a white light rather than the dull yellow original equipment ones.

Disadvantages: These are supposed to be canbus compatible, but unfortunately are still bringing up a bulb out error code on the dash.
