Not sure how much grit actually ended up being trapped, as there was too much foam to see. But this is the kind of dirt trap the professionals use in the 2-bucket wash method. So having invested a considerable sum on having the car detailed, it was an insignificant amount to prevent even the possibility of scratching the surface.
